Chemical Control: making use of synthetic, natural or organic pesticides

Chronic Toxicity: the effects of repeated or extended exposure to low-level toxicity chemicals resulting in adverse conditions or diseases

Colony: the organized group of a species of insects which live together in a community, predominantly within some form of nest

Complete Metamorphosis: a four stage developmental process (egg, larvae, pupae and adult). Each stage exhibits different habitat and food preferences as well as a physical distinction

Concentration: the amount of active ingredient within a given volume or weight of formula

Contact Pesticides: a type of pesticide which penetrates the body wall resulting in death

Crackand Crevice: applying a pesticide to all cracks and crevices which pests might favour
