Repellant: the chemical used to repel insects, ticks, mites
or vertebrate pests

weather conditions, humidity and the strength of the Active Ingredient

Resurgence: Pest
, referencing a return of a pest presence which has been previously
treated. Such as the resurgence of a cockroach infestation weeks after

Resistance: a tolerance for insecticide which is developed
by insects through the process of repetitive treatment with similar
insecticides/chemicals which might result in a “resistant” strain of insects being produced
